The Apple iPhone 6 – which is what everyone is assuming Apple’s next iPhone will be called – has had no official confirmation, but that won’t stop it being the most wanted gadget on the planet.

Apple makes a point of not giving away a single drop of info prior to launching products – which tends to further prod the rumour dragon, which periodically belches out potential fiery clues as to what the next gizmo will be. If you’ll pardon the unpleasant imagery.

Former HMV worker opens HVM store, Hilco complains

A former employee of HMV has opened up his own music store in Derry called HVM.

Tony Cregan opened up the shop after his branch of HMV closed down earlier this year. "We thought what is the point calling the new show Local CDs, or whatever, we’ll just call it HVM. HMV is gone," he said.

Microsoft Surface smart watch to rival iWatch in 2014?

Microsoft is the latest tech giant rumoured to be developing a smart watch product – which could arrive next year.

It joins the likes of Apple which is reportedly producing an iWatch product, while the Sony SmartWatch 2 will hit UK shelves later this year and a Samsung smart watch is also in development.

Apple offers students discounts for iPhone, iPad and Mac

Apple is running a series of summer promotions for students looking to buy a device before they head to university.

Those who buy an iPhone or iPad for university before September 6th will receive a £35 App Store Gift Card, while customers who purchase a new Mac will receive a £70 gift card.

Battlefield 4 accessories: EA reveals full product list

Retailers will soon be able to stock a line of Battlefield 4 branded PC accessories and merchandise to complement sales of the upcoming game.

Publisher EA and developer DICE have struck deals with licensing partners to bring controllers, mice, bags and more to market around the launch of Battlefield 4 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 1st. The title will also arrive on upcoming consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
