Second PC Retail Awards event to take place at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington. Lobbying opens now

PCR Awards set for March 19th

The computing and IT channel will once again be celebrated
next year, with the PC Retail Awards returning on Thursday
March 19th 2009.

Following last year’s successful event – which saw over 300 dealers, distributors and vendors applaud the great and the good of the industry – the PC Retail Awards 2009 will head to the lavish venue of the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington.

The format of the Awards will remain the same, with 16 awards across three categories: Frontline, Distibution and Vendors. The prestigious Grand Prix Awards also returns, but in addition this year’s event will see the introduction of the Industry Achievement Award, recognising an individual who has gone beyond the call of duty for the computing and IT sector. This individual can be from any area of the market.

Lobbying for a finalist spot begins now and all nominations should be addressed to Lisa.Foster@intentmedia.co.uk. PC Retail will then choose five Finalists per category, announced later this year, with an industry-wide panel of judges then voting for the ultimate winners.

“The response we had to this year’s debut PC Retail Awards was beyond our expectations, so we had no doubts about lining up another event for next year,” said PC Retail publisher and Intent Media managing director Stuart Dinsey.

“The transparent format for the Awards remains the same, but we have introduced the Industry Achievement Award to recognise an individual in the market.

“In addition, we are moving the event to the prestigious Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, where we look forward to another fantastic evening of networking and celebration.”
