Buckingham Palace has announced that it is to launch a British Monarchy Facebook page, joining other online initiatives such as the British Monarchy Flickr and YouTube channels.

The new Facebook page will offer pictures, video and news from the royal family as well as the Court Circular which aims to provide an up to date record of recent royal engagements.
