Reports suggest potential deals with operator are already being discussed

Orange ‘in talks’ with Apple over iPad deal

Orange is already in negotiations with Apple to be the company’s UK partner for 3G iPad connectivity, according to reports.

Sources also told The Times that negotiations with other operators – O2 and Vodafone – would be underway “very soon”.

Apple will begin offering wi-fi only versions of its latest connected device in the UK from March, with 3G-enabled models available from April.

It is unclear whether Apple will be seeking an exclusive 3G partner for iPad, as it initially did with the iPhone, or whether it will be available on a variety of networks.

The company has not yet specified iPad price points for the UK.
