LG has started global rollout of its new flagship L series II

O2 to start selling LG’s Optimus L5II and L3II in UK at end of March

O2 has posted LG’s new smartphones on its ‘coming soon’ webpage, revealing that the L series II handsets will be released on the network in the UK later this month.

While the L3II started to rollout globally at the end of February, its larger counterpart, the L5II, is being released this month starting in Brazil, it will be closely followed by South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.

The LG Optimus L5II features a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 1GHz processor, 5MP rear-facing camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, and a 1,700mAh battery.

The Optimus L3II is likely to be cheaper going by its specs. The handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 1GHz processor, Android Jelly Bean OS, 3MP rear-facing camera, and a 1,540mAh battery.

Launched at MWC 2013, the L series II actually has a higher-end model called the L7II, although O2 has not revealed any plans to offer this smartphone yet.
