Distie VIP says the flagship Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 was quickly snapped up following a slew of positive reviews.

Nvidia Kepler swiftly sells out

Following the release of Nvidia’s latest Kepler-based video cards, independent distie VIP Computers reported that all new stock sold "the day it hit the warehouse."

Released last week, Nvidia’s Kepler architecture has received widespread critical acclaim with tech site AnandTech describing the flagship Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 as the "easiest recommendation we’ve been able to make."

Dave Stevinson, sales director at VIP Computers said that he was encouraged by the early uptake of Nvidia’s latest.

“Our resellers have seen their gaming customers frantically hoovering up all available stock, excited by what seems to be the fastest and the most efficient single-GPU the market has ever seen," said Stevinson.

Enjoying the successful launch of Kepler, Nvidia chief Jensen Huang congratulated employees in an internal email saying that the development of the new graphics architecture had "cultivated a passion for craftsmanship" which had resulted in an "exquisite product that works wonderfully."

VIP Computers told PCR that the distie will offer the entire range of Nvidia Kepler products and pointed out that further variants (including more mainstream devices) are due later in the year.
