Still considering MeeGo for tablets claims report

Nokia to snub Windows Phone for tablets?

A Reuters report suggested that mobile maker Nokia may be considering alternative operating systems for the firm’s tablet computers.

Citing an unnamed ‘person with knowledge of the company’s thinking’, the Reuters report claims that Nokia is continuing to assess alternative operating systems for tablets including MeeGo.

The report also claims that Nokia is looking to "get its first tablet right" rather than joining the tablet rush, hoping to come up with a "distinctive" product.

Microsoft wasn’t ruled out of providing the operating system, the Reuters source claims.
