A charger that can power up a smartphone within a minute has been showcased at CES this week.
Storedot, the start-up behind the device, has created the charger that features a dock.
Smartphones without any battery can be fully charged in one minute using nano-technology to synthesise artificial molecules.
Doron Myersdorf, chief executive of Storedot, said: “We have reactions in the battery that are non-traditional reactions that allow us to charge very fast, moving ions from an anode to a cathode at a speed that was not possible before we had these materials."
However, the prototype is currently too big for a phone, but the company believes it will be ready to market in 2016.
