Tougher tablet targets business and retail users

New rugged Unitech Android tablet distributed by Midwich

Midwich has been appointed as the authorised master distributor for Unitech’s new TB100 Android tablet.

The TB100 has been developed specifically for the ‘real-world working environment’, with a number of scratch-and-bump-resistant features.

The firm says it "leaves consumer grade tablets in the dust, providing hard-working businesses with a hard-working, and longer-lasting, tablet solution".

Features include anti-slip rubber casing, a seven-inch Gorilla Glass WXGA multi-touch LCD screen, with an IP65 ating against moisture and dust, and a 1.2m drop test. It also includes 3.75G connectivity and weighs less than 600 grams.

Unitech expects to see it used in environments from retail to field-work, sales, construction, healthcare and more.

Midwich will be supplying the tablet to the UK market this summer through its auto-ID and barcode division Synergix.
