Razer’s first ever gaming desktop
Lenovo and Razer have revealed their first-ever gaming desktop prototype. The Razer Edition models of Lenovo’s Y series gaming devices will officially launch at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2016. The two companies announced that together they will co-brand and co-market the devices.

World’s first office papermaking system
Epson has developed what it believes to be the world's first compact office papermaking system capable of producing new paper from securely shredded waste paper without the use of water. Epson plans to put the new "PaperLab" into commercial production in Japan in 2016.

Samsung Gear VR
Samsung Gear VR is now available to buy in the UK on the Samsung Shop, with major retailers including O2 to follow early in the New Year. Aimed at consumers, the latest edition of the Gear VR is compatible with the Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge, and have an RRP of £80.

WD helium-filled 10TB HDD
Western Digital it is now shipping the world’s first 10TB perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) hard disk drive (HDD). As the first 10TB drop-in ready HDD, the HGST Ultrastar He10 HDD provides the highest capacity, lowest power consumption per TB and the highest reliability rating of all HDDs on the market.

AMD FirePro W4300
The AMD FirePro W4300 is designed for the best Computer-Aided Design (CAD) performance and fits both small form factor (SFF) and tower workstations. The AMD FirePro W4300 card integrates a powerful GPU and 4GB of GDDR5 memory within a low-profile design for installation in SFF as well as full-sized systems. The graphics card is currently in production, with availability from major workstation OEMs planned for 2016.

Cooler Master MasterGel Maker and Sentinel II mouse
Cooler Master has unveiled its new MasterGel Maker - a highly conductive, highly viscous thermal compound containing non-abrasive nanodiamond particles. The firm has also announced the official UK launch of the new Sentinel III mouse, an ergonomic palm grip mouse designed for FPS gaming with an improved sensor, 32-bit ARM processor, 512KB on-board memory and a customizable OLED display. It will be available mid-December with an RRP of £39.99.

Sennheiser’s Skype for Business-certified headsets and speakerphones
Sennheiser had announced the Skype for Business-certified product portfolio. Consisting of 24 Skype for Business-certified wired, wireless, Bluetooth and DECT headset and speakerphone variants, the range is ready to be plugged in and used together with the new Skype for Business capabilities in Microsoft Office 365.

Startech.com Thunderbolt 2 Dock
StarTech.com has announced the release of a Thunderbolt 2 Dual Video Docking Station that features connections for two DisplayPort monitors. This is the first docking station on the market that enables Mac and Thunderbolt users to create a dual-monitor workstation, all through a single Thunderbolt 2 connection to the dock.

Be quiet! System Power 8 series
Be quiet! has introduces the System Power 8 series with 400, 500 and 600 watts. This new model offers proven reliability and an efficiency up to 87 per cent according to 80PLUS standard. The 400, 500 and 600 watts models are available immediately for an RRP of £34.99, £42.99 and £49.99. In January 2016, four additional models with 300, 350, 450 and 550 watts will be added as bulk versions. The System Power 8 series is now only available in Europe and Australia with a 230V AC input voltage.

Imagination Creator C140
Imagination Technologies has launched a new development kit called Creator Ci40 on Kickstarter. The Ci40 microcomputer has been specifically designed for smart home, IoT and other connected devices (drones, robots, etc.) – but it also has the hardware requirements (802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, SD and USB storage) needed to be used as a high-speed wireless router.

Devolo DIY smart home system
Networking specialist devolo has launched its smart home technology range, Home Control, in the UK. The Z-Wave based system, which is now available from selected retailers and online stores, includes components for adjusting light settings, monitoring temperatures and providing automated home security alerts.
