New product roundup: NEC launches new 4K monitor, AMD unveils FirePro graphics

New products this week include NEC’s 4K UHD SpectraView reference monitor. Its 31.5-inch display delivers pixel-free image quality and features full colour control thanks to its 10-bit IPS panel type.

It will be available to purchase from Color Confidence from March 2015.

AMD has launched its FirePro professional graphics for the Panasonic Toughbook. The FirePro series offers AMD’s Graphics Core Next architecture, desktop class workstation performance and software drivers.

A new SSD from Waitan has been unveiled called the StellaHunter, which is based on the company’s military grade NAND flash management. It comes with a unit capacity of up to 4TB in 2.5-inch SATA III (6.0 Gbps) form factors.

Aerocool has announced its new cube chassis with an ATX form factor. The GT-RS comes with an interior design where the ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ATX are mounted upside-down on the left side of the chassis.

Hard drives and optical drives have also been moved to a separate chamber for improved airflow.

In addition, display specialist AOC has launched a new WQHD monitor, boasting a 27-inch screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The monitor is available now and is priced at £299.

In other news, Panasonic announced an upgrade to its flagship DZ21K projector at ISE 2015. The latest version has improved image clarity, reduced power consumption and features Digital Link single cable connection.

PNY technologies is set to exhibit and showcase its OEM solutions for the first time at the upcoming Embedded World Exhibition and Conference in Nuremberg, Germany.

Products include graphics cards, memory solutions and flash storage solutions.
