PCR rounds up some of the latest new tech products you may have missed

New product roundup: ‘Floatable’ speakers, tablet beanbags and Iron Man branded Samsung Galaxy Edge

This week we take a look at the latest products from the likes of AOC, Philips, SoftMaker and more.

First up – after announcing the launch at CES this year, the Linksys WRT1200AC router is now available in the UK for £149.99. It comes with two adjustable and removable antennas and can reach wireless speeds of up to 1.3 Gbps.

Samsung has decked out its Galaxy S6 Edge with a limited edition Iron Man colour scheme. The device is available in red and gold and features Iron Man’s face on the back panel. 

Distributor Peak Development has announced the availability of its LifeTrak range of heart rate and activity wearables. The devices can track steps, distance and calories burnt.

Group Gear has unveiled its CONNEkT GEAR USB charging plate, which features 2.4 amp faster charging USB ports. The plate will also automatically shut down once the device is fully charged.

Meanwhile, AOC has updated its line of displays with the addition of the 25-inch model that boasts a QHD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The Q2577PWQ also features an IPS panel.

Distributor DirekTek has also introduced three new Proper waterproof cases for smartphones and tablets. Each case comes with a pair of waterproof earphones, with prices starting from £13.

Consumer specialist DeVancer announced the launch of its iBeani, a beanbag that has been designed to hold tablets. Prices start at £24.99 and the iBeani is available in a range of colours and designs.

Software vendor SoftMaker has released its new Office suite. SoftMaker Office 2016 for Windows comes with Microsoft Office compatibility and offers a variety of new features for home and business users.

NEC displays have launched two displays using ShadowSense touch technology. The E705 SST and the E805 SST will be available from June.

In addition, ViewSonic has introduced a 4K monitor for business. The VG2860MHL-4KUltra HD monitor comes with a 3840×2160 at 60Hz native resolution and a range of ports including DisplayPorts and four USB ports.

Retailer Overclockers has added the Anidees AI-06 V2 case and F12C, a high performance home media case by Streacom, to its portfolio of products.

Monster has also lunched the SuperStar BackFloat, a new floatable, waterproof Bluetooth speaker. The device is priced at £119.95 and features two full-range drivers and a Bluetooth wireless range of 10 metres.

Plus, Dell has announced a series of printer solutions, including the Dell Printer Hub and four Dell entry-class printers. The range aims to simplify tasks and document management.

USB plug and play and Ethernet connection comes with the new Philips 221S6QUMB USB Docking Monitor. It is 21.5-inches in size and features a pair of built-in speakers.

In other news, JustBRAND has partnered with distributor Nemesis. The company will become the sole distributor for the JustDRIVE add-on car DAB digital radio kit.
