A new trailer has appeared for the upcoming PC megagame Crysis 2 called the 'prophet's journey'.
The original 2007 Crysis from German game developer Crytek was hailed as offering some of the best visuals ever seen in a video game.
The intensely scaleable engine became a benchmarking favorite as is could be adjusted to drag even high end video cards to their knees.
The developers told PSM3 magazine in January that the sequel built on the new CryEngine 3 will offer the "best graphics you have ever seen" and boasted to CVG that the game also has "the most advanced AI system in a game."
Crysis 2 is now set in the city of New York rather than its jungle-based predecessor. The 'prophet's journey' trailer tells the story of the protagonist Jacob Hargreave.
Crysis 2 is due for release on Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 22nd of March and in Europe on the 25th of March. See the Crysis 2 'prophet's journey' trailer below:
