Network Group appoints Craig Hume as Retail Director

IT buying group Network Group has appointed Craig Hume of Scotland’s Utopia Computers as Retail Director.

He will be responsible for the group’s retail strategy and will provide leadership for their business to consumer initiatives with vendors and distributors, in order to support member growth.

The group’s next event – NG Vision – takes place on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014. It has been organised to give suppliers "great networking opportunities", offers and products presentations, product showcasing and feedback.

Network Group provides purchasing, sales, marketing and network services to its reseller and retailer members. It has over 50 resellers across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands, with group turnover in excess of £300m.

“I’m honoured to be joining the board of Network Group," said Hume. "The Network Group is an outstanding group with a reputation within the industry that is second to none. As a member of the group for almost a year I have seen first-hand the support and drive that the group brings to it’s members.

"I’m looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.”

Wayne Cockerill, Group Chairman, added: "This is an exciting year for NG as we continue with our ambitious growth plans.

"The addition of Craig to our team is further evidence of the success of NG in what has been a difficult few years for the channel. This adds further to our plans for a successful 2013."
