If a reseller wants to dip their toe in managed services, this is a great way to start

Netgear launches new partner programme and cloud service platform

Netgear has been busy this week, launching a revamped channel partner programme, as well as a brand new cloud-based IT service platform.

PCR sister publication, IT Channel Expert, spoke with Netgear’s UK and Ireland regional manager, Peter Hannah, about this new focus on its reseller partners.

“What we’re going to do is invest more in those partners that are selling more Netgear solutions. That means we can provide greater discounts and rebates for those partners,” said Hannah.

“One of the things we want from partners is the commitment to training. There’s not a cost to training, but we want them to understand Netgear’s products in a much better way so they’re able to better support their clients.”

The firm also revealed that its new cloud-based service platform, Business Central, is ideal for resellers who are looking to get into managed services.

“The Wireless Manager module gives you a cloud view of access points wherever they are within your business. If you’re a reseller, what you can do is offer this as a managed service to a range of end-users,” explained Hannah.

“If a reseller wants to dip their toe in managed services, this is a great way to start.”
