Vendor celebrates selling more than 100 million Nvidia UK GPUs with special edition card

Performance PC vendor MSI has produced a special ‘100 Million Edition’ version of its popular Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 gaming graphics card.

The limited edition card – priced at £319.99 on Overclockers UK (around £30 cheaper than the standard MSI 970) – is being launched to celebrate the fact that MSI has sold more than 100 million Nvidia UK GPUs to date.

The GTX 970 Gaming 100 Million Edition sports a green and black design in favour of its standard card’s red and black colour scheme. It also features a backplate.

MSI is also launching a gold and black version of the card, as well as a black and white version. The latter is codenamed GTX 970 4GD5T-OC, but apparently features cheaper components and is lacking a backplate. The three new cards are said to launch later this month.

Additionally, Videocardz claims to have obtained first images of an MSI GTX 960 Gaming 2G graphics card, which we’d expect to be a less powerful and cheaper variant of the 970 and 980 cards.

The 960 apparently will have a memory configuration of 2GB GDDR5, 128-bit interface and a single 8-pin power connector. Here’s a shot of the device:
