Motorola unveils first Android handset

Motorola’s first Android offering will be available exclusively through Orange in the UK and France, Telefonica in Spain and America Movil in Latin America.

DEXT will be known as CLIQ in North America, where the device will be available exclusively with T-Mobile USA.

Motorola describes the companion Motoblur software as a means of channeling conversation threads, friend updates, stories, links and photos to live widgets on the DEXT/CLIQ home screen. The platform will be used in all Moto’s upcoming Android handsets.

In terms of general specs, the device comes with a Qwerty slider, touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, HTML browser, Google Mobile and a 2GB microSD card.
