Software titan Microsoft is set to sink $60 million in to South Korea, according to a statement from the nations president Lee Myung-bak.

The three-year long investment is reported as being destined for areas such as training, business cultivation, support for venture firms and the establishment of a technological centre.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said that the deal is part of a company policy of growth through investment: “The best solution for tough business times is growth, not contraction, now is not the time to forget that lesson.”
