The official Microsoft Developer Twitter account claims the firm’s latest tablets are almost sold out.
Whether the claims are true or just being used to generate a bit of hype ahead of the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 street date on October 22nd remains to be seen, although Microsoft hasn’t actually stated how many devices have been sold.

Following the link to the blog provides a little more detail about the news, stating the pre-order stock of the Surface 2 (64GB) and Surface Pro 2 (256GB and 512GB) are close to selling out.
The Twitter responses to the claim have been mostly of a mocking nature, with some asking for exact figures.
Once released on general sale, the Surface 2 will start at £359 and the Pro 2 will set consumers back £719 or more.
