Microsoft Partner of the Year award winners listed

Microsoft has announced its 2014 Partner of the Year award winners and finalists.

There were over 3,200 nominations submitted from 112 different countries for the 46 different global award opportunities this year.

There were also 96 different Country Partner of the Year Awards honouring partner achievements across the globe.

The UK Country Partner winner was Dot Net Solutions. It wasn’t the only British firm to pick up and award.

The winner of the Intelligent Systems Partner of the Year was CGI IT UK Limited.

“CGI helped the iconic underground public metro system, which serves more than one billion passengers each year, realise the potential of the Internet of Things (IoT),” reads Microsoft’s World Partner Conference 2014 blog.

Other notable winners from the around the globe include Dell, who took home the Windows 8 Application Developer Partner of the Year Award, and Wortell, who won the Devices and Deployment Partner of the Year Award.

As of today, a number of Nokia smartphones are now available from the Microsoft UK Store, including the Lumia 630, Lumia 1320, and Lumia 1520.

This news comes after Microsoft acquired the mobile manufacturer on April 25th 2014, announcing that Nokia will change its name to Microsoft Mobile.
