Microsoft Office 365 now integrates Skype for Business

Microsoft has rolled out a number of updates and improvements to its Office 265 web productivity client.

the Office 365 client now has Skype for Business integrated in to the Outlook, OneDrive, and Calendar web apps, meaning users can now start a conversation or initiate a voice or video call in real-time with colleagues without leaving their current window.

Other updates include a new notifications pane that displays alerts, personal reminders and new emails. Uses can now also choose between colour themes and there’s a new Settings pane that only displays settings that are relevant to the web apps that the users is currently using.

These new features will begin rolling out to First Release users over the next few weeks. All Office 365 business customers will see the updates at some point over the next few months.
