There has also recently been a significant shake up in the company with three new divisions being introduced, including GAME Retail, GAME eSports and Events, and GAME Solutions.

The news comes as GAME's group revenue for the 26 weeks ending January 24th fell 0.7 per cent to £586.4m, with gross profit down 1.6 per cent at £137.4m and profit before tax falling 1.8 per cent to £33.8m.

Elsewhere, Dell has made two major appointments. Dell has appointed former AMD CEO Rory Read (who left last year) as its new COO, effective April 6th. Additionally, Paul Pérez has been named CTO of Dell's Enterprise Solutions Group starting today.

Read will become Chief Operating Officer and President of Worldwide Commercial Sales and will have responsibility for Dell’s global go-to-market initiatives, omni-channel sales planning and enablement. He has also previously held senior positions at Lenovo and IBM.

"Rory and Paul add enterprise IT expertise and depth to Dell’s leadership team and will help accelerate Dell’s place as an enterprise powerhouse and trusted advisor to businesses globally, said Dell chairman and CEO Michael Dell.

"I look forward to their contributions – from the design of our solutions to how we deliver and support them with our customers."

Also on the move is Christopher Francis, who moves from eBay, where he headed up the electronics business unit for four years, to join Microsoft as EMEA devices lead for online.
