It boasts surround sounds using AM3D Audio technology, which converts any audio into 3D sound. A discrete mic has been built in allowing users to communicate online without the need for a boom mic.

A support app is available for iOS and Android, so gamers can check battery levels and activate a number of features, and the device benefits from digitally controlled active noise cancellation, reducing background noise.

Each section of the controller – the d-pad, analog sticks and buttons – can be programmed to do different things with different games on Android powered smartphones and tablets.

The controller is debuting at CES and will be available from the Mad Catz website in March for $299.99.

TRITTON Swarm Wireless Mobile Headset

Users can user voice control via the headset on their mobile, and access the phones controls using the buttons on the side of the ear cups.

The Swarm wireless headset will be available on the Mad Catz website in March, priced at $149.99.
