LISTED: Comet store closures and sales details

The first Comet stores set to close down have opened their doors to shoppers as they host their final sales event.

Deloitte, administrator for the troubled retailer, announced last week that it planned to close down 41 of Comet’s 236 stores as well a number of further job losses and redundancies.

The firm highlighted the steps as necessary following its difficult in finding suitable buyers for areas of Comet’s business.

Listed below are details of the 27 stores currently confirmed to be closing down.

UPDATE: Deloitte has told PCR that it will announce the remaining 14 stores scheduled to close its doors shortly.

UPDATE 2: Since the time of writing, Deloitte has confirmed that all remaining Comet stores will close their doors on December 18th after the administrator failed to secure a buyer for the business.
