Distributor Exertis Micro-P has been awarded exclusive UK distribution rights for LG’s All-In-One Chrome Monitor PC.
The PC - available in a black or white case - is targeting the education sector.
It has a 21.5-inch screen, an Intel Celeron-2955U processor, 2GB memory and a Google Chrome operating system, with start-up that promises to be 'near instantaneous'.
Several apps are already built in, while thousands more can be added, either for education or entertainment purposes. Exertis Micro-P says the devices are ideal for multiple users, thanks to Google Chrome’s ability to switch between accounts, or let someone new sign in, with each user's material staying separate from others. Chrome also works with users’ other devices including their phone, tablet or an old computer – without any extra cables.
Chrome boasts 'multiple layers of security' and verified boot to help keep users safe from viruses and malware. Plus, the built-in Google Drive backs up files and photos automatically, and there is 100GB of free storage with all new Chromebooks.
Simon Barnard, Computing General Manager at Exertis Micro-P, said: “Despite the rise of the laptop, tablet and smartphone, there is still considerable demand for desktop PCs in education.
"LG’s solution combines the best of both worlds, mating the comfort of a desktop PC with the brilliant performance, flexibility and security offered by Google Chrome. This makes it ideally suited to the education environment and presents our reseller partners with a compelling proposition backed up by our years of education sector experience."
