Device will probably launch at CES, source says

LG to delay tablet until 2011

LG Electronics will likely delay launching its Android tablet until next year, the firm has said.

An LG official told Bloomberg that the tablet would probably be unveiled at CES in January, later than Q4 this year, as it initially announced in July.

The source added that the hardware is ready, but that LG is still working on the software.

The as yet unnamed device will reportedly feature a display larger than the seven-inch screen of Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Tab.

Last week, RIM unveiled the BlackBerry PlayBook, a seven-inch tablet which is set to launch worldwide next year.
