LG joins netbook club

LG is making a move in to the netbook market for the first time, with the X110, which will be available in pink or white from UK mobile telephone network Phones 4U.

The Netbook is powered by an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor and will utilise Windows XP home edition. The 1.2kg device will also feature one gigabyte of RAM and an 80 gigabyte hard disk.

“We are delighted to be entering the Netbook market with this exciting, stylish and technically advanced device,” said LG’s UK sales and marketing director, John Barton. “We know that people want to be able to access the internet in its entirety, wherever they are. Now we’re allowing them to do just that from a feature rich device with all of the styling that people have come to expect from LG.”
