Lenovo has announced the Flex 10, a netbook with a screen that can flip backwards by 300 degrees.
The 10.1-inch device is a smaller version of Lenovo’s existing Flex 14 and Flex 15 models, and shares its bigger brothers’ 1366×768 10-point touchscreen.
Instead of the Haswell processor found in the 14 and 15, however, the 10 is instead powered by a Bay Trail Pentium or Celeron CPU. Up to 4GB of DDR3L memory and 500GB of storage can accompany the processor.
The 1.2kg Windows 8.1 PC has a battery life of around four hours, and features an integrated 720P HD webcam, microphone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, a multitouch touchpad and the AccuType keyboard.
The Flex 10 is named for its display, which can be used either in ‘classic laptop mode’ when using the keyboard and touchpad, or be flipped backwards by 300 degrees to enter ‘stand mode’ and use the touchscreen to control apps or watch movies.
The Flex 10 hasn’t had a release date or price announced as of yet, but early rumours estimate that the pricetag will come in at around £400.
