With all the drama over the latest Amazon Kindle device being released, it's easy to forget about the rather unsung e-reader underdog - the Kobo.

Kobo has just announced three new e-reader products. Let's have a quick look.

First up is the Kobo Glo (RRP £99.99), which has a six-inch e-paper screen. The firm says it has ultra-fast page turns and highly responsive 'touch interactivity'. It comes in a variety of colours including: Pink Sunset, Blue Moon, Silver Star, and Black Night.

Then there's the Mini (RRP £59.99), which will be a cheaper model with a five-inch screen. Hey, size doesn't matter, it's what you do with it that counts, right?

It weighsh 134 grams, has storage to carry up to 1,000 eBooks, and comes with three colorful SnapBacks (Teal, Ruby Red, and Purple).

Last but not least there's an Android tablet called the Arc (not yet on WH Smith), which has a seven-inch screen, and like other tablet e-readers, will come complete with a bunch of multimedia capabilities.

This one has a 16-million colour display, a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, and front-facing camera.

The Kobo Touch will still be available.

Kobo is most visible at WH Smith, but it says new models will also be sold from retailers such as Asda, Argos and John Lewis in the UK.
