Memory specialist Kingston has announced what the firm claims is the fastest SDHC memory card on the market with the UHS-I UltimateXX.
With the Secure Digital Association setting a new standard for next-generation memory card performance with SDHC UHS-I, the scene was set for Kingston to introduce the firm’s first super-fast UHS-I supporting UltimateXX card.
With read speeds of up to 60MB/s and 35MB/s for writes, the card formal is also being referred to as 233x as measured against the original SD speed specification.
"Being a member of the SD Association enhances our ability to bring new technology to market," said Kingston European product manager Jim Selby.
"As the devices that support SDHC UHS-I become prevalent; our UltimateXX cards are at the ready."
8GB, 16GB and 32GB cards will initially be available costing around £97, £195 and £392.
