Kevin O'Byrne's departure prompts board reshuffle; Nicholas Cadbury promoted to group finance director

Kingfisher poaches DSGi financial director

The parent company of DIY giant B&Q has gone of a shopping spree at DSGi’s headquarters, poaching group finance director Kevin O’Byrne (pictured, left).

The move by Kingfisher has prompted a reshuffle of the board at DSGi, with finance director for international electricals Nicholas Cadbury (pictured, right) promoted to group finance director, with Cadbury promoted to the board and the executive committee with immediate effect.

Cadbury, who has been with DSGi since 1993, has previously worked as finance director of PC World, commercial director of PC World and managing director of Dixon’s Tax Free.

Speaking about Cadbury’s promotion, chief executive John Browett said: "Nicholas has wide experience of our operations across the Group. He brings great experience in a number of areas of the Group, both in the UK and internationally.

"I would like to thank Kevin for the contribution he has made to our business," continued Browett. "I’d also like to thank him for the support he has provided since I joined the Group."
