Mobile rewards system Kiip has made its way to Europe with the launch of a YO! Sushi rewards game in London.
The San Francisco-based mobile marketing startup has created a ‘rewards network’ which offers free goods and services. The Kiip platform is open to developers so they can use it in their games to give users real-world rewards.
The new deal with UK-based food chain YO! Sushi means that smartphone owners can play a game and win a free dish at the restaurant. This is the first time a non-US company has partnered with the service, and the first time Kiip has sent out offers in the UK.
CEO and co-founder Brian Wong has stressed that Kiip is about rewards, not advertisements. So far Kiip has seen a 22 per cent redemption reward rate and 50 per cent of its redeemers coming back for more.
The current YO! Sushi deal is only available in London, but the company plans to announce more brand partnerships in the UK soon.
