John Lewis voted top UK electricals retailer for customer service

John Lewis has been voted the UK's best retailer in terms of customer service for another year, as well as the leading electricals retailer according to Verdict Research.

The Verdict Customer Satisfaction Awards survey showed that John Lewis obtained scores for service far exceeding that of any other retailer in the survey. Product quality also scored highly.

John Lewis were top in the poll, followed by Dunelm, IKEA, Brantano and Matalan.

Verdict Lead Analyst Sarah Peters said: “John Lewis retained its title this year coming top overall as well as in its main product categories of homewares and electricals. As Britain’s favourite retailer, John Lewis continues to deliver the product ranges, inspiration and trust that customers appreciate.”

John Lewis was voted top in electricals and homewares, with Amazon and Asda in second and third place within electricals respectively. 

Amazon was voted the top music and video retailer, followed by Asda and HMV/Fopp.

In terms of the online awards, John Lewis picked up Best Online Retailer Overall and Best Online Fulfilment, while Amazon received Best Online Pureplay and Next was handed the Best Click & Collect Service accolade.
