John Lewis implements unlimited returns policy

John Lewis has abandoned its 28-day return policy, opting instead to offer an unlimited return period.

According to Marketing Week, the retailer – the first to offer such a policy – will accept any product back as long as they are unused and accompanied by a receipt.

“We are not doing it so people can clear out their wardrobes,” said John Lewis’ retail director, Andrew Murphy.

“We are doing it to underline to people in economically difficult times that there is one shop you can buy from where you will not end up regretting it.”
