This year’s Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 list features a number of IT and tech firms.

Now in its sixth year, the list reveals Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest growing international sales.

The league table ranks the 200 companies according to growth in international sales over the last two years of available data. While it features a diverse range of companies, such as cheesemakers, architects and visual effects studios, the list also has an array of tech and IT resellers, services providers, distributors, suppliers and consultants.

Claranet secured the rank of 118 on the list, having grown its international presence by 29 per cent between June 2012 and June 2014.

“The IT services industry is undergoing a rapid shift as businesses globally look to move their on-premises IT to cloud-based environments in a bid to increase productivity and drive competitive advantage,” said Charles Nasser, CEO of Claranet.

“Claranet is uniquely positioned to seize this market opportunity both in the UK and in Europe, and in a rapidly changing technology sector our combination of a strong local presence and international reach is helping us to lead the charge on international markets.”

Other tech firms on the list include resellers Viadex (141) and Grey Matter (166), and software developers Access Group (65) and The Foundry (121).

There were also a number of distributors including Kondor (21), Midwich (31), Comtec Cable Accessories (70), Rebound Electronics (170), M2M Direct (171) and Hammer (184).

The companies on the league table increased their overseas sales by an average of 32 per cent a year and employ more than 194,000 staff.

The International Track 200 is sponsored by HSBC for a sixth year, and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford -based research and networking events company.

Amanda Murphy, UK head of corporate banking at HSBC, commented: “The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 is a great reflection of the value of building connections overseas. The world is getting smaller, and international business relationships are easier to build, providing ambitious businesses with many more opportunities to grow. I'm delighted to see so many great British mid-sized firms making such a strong impression on the world stage."
