iStorage has signed an exclusive UK and Ireland distribution deal with CMS Peripherals in a move aimed at boosting the vendor’s presence in the business and IT sectors, as well as among consumers.
CMS will target retail and corporate resellers with diskGenie – iStorage’s latest compact portable hard drive, which offers cash machine-style PIN code access and hardware encryption.
Stuart Borst, CMS Peripherals’ partner operations manager, said: “The increasing frequency of data loss points to a need in the market for better measures to protect information should a portable device be lost or stolen. There is a real opportunity right now for the iStorage range making excellent sense for individuals and businesses to protect against data loss and CMS will get that message across.”
