SDK downloaded 800,000 times; Apps now total 25,000; 96 per cent of Apps approved

iPhone and iPod Touch sales reach 30m

Apple has confirmed that the combined global sales of its iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch have now hit 30m, with the iPhone alone topping the 17m mark.

In 2008 the company sold 13.7m iPhones – far ahead of its 10m target it set for itself in 2007.

In addition, 25,000 apps are now available on Apple’s heralded App Store, and the approval rate for apps currently stands at 96 per cent. 98 per cent are approved within seven days.
