Vendor is pleased with popularity of its "magical product"

iPad sales reach 3m

Apple sold its three millionth iPad this week, after the device was launched globally last month.

It would appear that less than one million of the tablet devices have been sold since the international launch on 28 May – a small sum considering in the US alone over two million were sold in the first two months of release.

However, Apple appears to be pleased with the sales of its “magical product”.

“People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month.”
