Apple has plans to reveal the iPad Air 2 next month, according to Taiwan’s Commercial Times.
The next-generation iPad is rumoured to enter production in September, with shipping beginning the following month.
The site also suggests that the next-generation Retina iPad Mini might not launch alongside the iPad Air as expected, coming instead in early 2015.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro to also rumoured to follow in the second quarter of 2015.
The iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini with Retina display are expected to gain camera improvements and updated A8 processors.
Touch ID fingerprint sensor is also rumoured to be included, while the iPad Air 2 may feature an anti-reflective screen coating.
This news comes after Apple revealed the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch earlier this month.
Both phones feature Apple’s A8 chip, Retina displays and ApplePay – a contactless form of payment using NFC (near field communication) technology.
