Global distributor will manage Hewlett Packard?s value business and storage

Ingram Micro to handle HP?s Hungarian distribution

HP has appointed Ingram Micro as its official value distributor for Business Critiical Systems and Storage Works Division in Hungary, effective from April.

The move comes as Ingram Micro looks to develop its value business as part of an ongoing strategic development of its presence in the EMEA region. The Hungarian business will serve around 2000 resellers and will be managed by managing director Ferenc Lazar, operating with a team of HP-certified specialists from Ingram’s Budapest offices.

“Ingram Micro Hungary has been a recognized value-added distributor for the last 15 years,” said Ingram Micro’s EMEA president, Alain Maquet.

“This HP value agreement further solidifies our position as one of Hungary’s leading distributors and adds to our increasingly strong value business across EMEA. We are very pleased that over the last four months we have doubled the business associated with our HP value exhibits, from existing ones in Belgium, Spain and Sweden, to augmenting those with exhibits in the UK through our CCD acquisition and now in Hungary with this latest win.”
