Ingram Micro has announced it's signed a new agreement to distribute Crucial and Lexar memory and storage products in the UK

Crucial and Lexar are both global brands of Micron Technology, one of the largest DRAM and NAND manufacturers.

The Crucial range includes SSDs and memory upgrades for more than 50,000 desktops, laptops, servers, and workstations, whilst Lexar offers solutions across a range of flash memory categories, including USB flash drives, backup drives, card readers, and memory cards for photo, video, and mobile devices.

Mike Farrah, commercial director at Ingram Micro, said: “We are pleased to announce immediate availability of these new product lines to our broad SMB audience – we are constantly listening to the needs of our customer base – we already have a broad portfolio of components products, but it is important that we maintain our leading breadth, availability and competitive price by working with new partners.”

“We are pleased to have Ingram Micro UK on board as a new distributor,” said Paul Reynolds, Crucial regional sales manager. “The agreement significantly increases our reach into the UK channel and allows resellers across the country to access our wide and award-winning range of products from a reliable and experienced, local distributor.”

Farrah concluded: “With recent product shortages in some areas, our breadth of product and worldwide scale of availability allowed us to make product available to the SMB reseller when others couldn’t, while our expanded portfolio of netbooks and smartphones is driving increased sales for memory and SSD products. The Lexar and Crucial brands will further cement our position as the distributor of choice for memory and storage products.”

Crucial and Lexar products are available immediately from Ingram Micro.
