Retail Expo 2007 designed to bring vendors and retailers together

Ingram MD launches retail event

New Ingram Micro UK boss Julian Klein (pictured) has formally announced the launch of Retail Expo 2007, a trade show arranged by the distributor to enable retailers to get face-to-face access with 40 of its vendors.

"Retail Expo 2007 is an extremely significant event for UK retail distribution," said Klein. "Our vendor partners will bring exclusive show offers to Wembley: products, promotions and marketing support. Our retail customers can access these special offers, meet the UK management of both Ingram Micro and over 40 leading vendors and of course they can take a tour of the new home of the England football team."

"We urge any retailer who wants to find exclusive new margin opportunities, or to meet 40 leading vendors, or to discuss distribution services with the Ingram Micro retail specialists and of course to see the New Wembley stadium to register as soon as they can at www.retailexpo2007.com."

Among the vendors present will be satnav giant TomTom. Jo Foreman, distribution channel manager for TomTom UK said: "The retail channel has always been hugely important for TomTom and the run up to Christmas this year will be no exception. Consumers will purchase more than 1 million satellite navigation units in the last 10 weeks of 2007 and we see Retail Expo 2007 as a fantastic opportunity to give independent retailers an opportunity to capitalise upon this key trading period and to find out about our latest product ranges, promotions and marketing activity."
