IBM and Sun reseller goes into administration

According to reports on the internet, Wakefield-based IBM and Sun reseller, Productivity Computer Solutions has gone into administration.

The Register, who broke the story, spoke to the charted accountants Tait Walker. "We were appointed administrators on the 15th of October but can’t say any more than that at this stage," said a spokesperson for the company.

Speaking to The Register, Steve Wolski, managing director at PCS said: "We are currently in administration but we’re trying to pull it through. Staff are all here trying to help customers."

PCS, which was founded in 1988, is a Sun Application Provider Resource Centre and an IBM Business Partner. It was named Sun’s marketing reseller of the year in 2001 and has offices in Reading, Bristol and recently opened another in Scotland.

There has no been no word on potential redundancies.
