New mid-range handset will come with Beats Audio technology

HTC Desire X coming to UK in September

HTC has announced its latest handset, Desire X, at IFA 2012 in Berlin.

The new phone comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, dual-core 1GHz chip, 4-inch screen, and HTC’s Sense user interface.

Looking distinctly familiar to the HTC’s quad-core flagship model, the Desire X is like a miniaturised version of the HTC One X, but with a few extra features.

The Desire X has a removable back, giving access to the battery, and also a MicroSD card slot.

The phone comes with 766MB RAM and 4GB of memory, with 1GB of that being user accessible, as well as a 5mp camera.

Although the Desire X comes with Beats Audio music enhancing technology, HTC has said that the phone will not come with Beats Audio headphones.

Although there’s no official price, the mid-range Android phone will be cost somewhere between the price of the HTC One V and the HTC Desire C, meaning it will probably be under the £200 mark.

The HTC Desire X will be available in the UK mid-September.
