HP has unveiled its new line up of ZBook workstations and a virtual workstation.

The ZBook 14 and 15u, the company’s thinnest and lightest models, have a 14-inch and 15.6-inch screen size respectively and come equipped with Windows 8.1.

Each new workstation also features 5th generation Intel Core processors and AMD FirePro 3D graphics.

Both models also provide up to 16GB of memory and up to 1.25TB of storage. They are expected to be available this month with prices starting at €1,289.

Ori Bergman, director of commercial and retail solutions, printing and personal systems group at HP EMEA, said: “Our new workstation ultrabooks demonstrate our unwavering commitment to professional customers and the need for light, first-class mobile workstations to augment the design workflow.”

Other new products from HP include the DL380z Virtual Workstation Gen 9, which comes with Nvidia Grid cards, a 2U rack mount and is powered by next-generation Intel E5 v3 processors.

HP is also giving its RGS 7.1 graphics software a 60 per cent performance boost.

The software is expected to ship on HP Z desktops and Mobile ZBook workstations in April, and will be available as a free download for existing HP Z workstation customers.
