Vendor unveils new range of products for Mac and PC users

HP launches new servers

HP has launched two new home media servers designed to help consumers store the growing amounts of data accrued via the increased trend towards digital media.

The HP MediaSmart ex485 and the ex487 are based on an Intel Celeron 2GHz CPU and 2GB of DDR2 RAM.

Both models should be available by February.

"A growing number of digital-savvy households have both Windows and Mac computers, with hundreds and sometimes thousands of media files and documents scattered across these devices,” said HP’s Jason Zajac. “The HP MediaSmart Server protects, stores and organizes this content from anywhere on a network so consumers can access and share it any place they are connected."
