Should be shipping out to retailers soon

The HP Chromebook 11 has been given an updated power adapter following a product recall last week over reports of overheating.

An investigation by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said that some of the AC adapters were overheating and could be dangerous, reports 9to5Google, prompting Google to pull them off shelves.

The device's unique selling point was that it could be charged by a micro-USB lead from other USB ports, batteries or chargers.

The new power supply is made by Liteon in China, sends 5.25V of power to the Chromebook at 3.0A.

Reports suggest the revised adapter will be shipping out to US retailers again shortly.
