HP is set to unveil a range of new notebooks at CES 2011 this month, adopting the latest Sandy Bridge technology from Intel and Fusion APUs from Intel.
The world’s biggest notebook maker is set to roll out the AMD Fusion platform in the 11.6-inch Pavilion DM1, armed with 750GB of storage and offering optional Blu-ray player and GPS receiver. The 1.6Kg netbook-sized device will reportedly arrive in January priced around $450.
As expected, HP took the wraps off an array of Pavilion notebook upgrades based on Intel’s new Sandy Bridge processors. The DV6 and DV7 models will cost $900 and $1000 respectively when they launch in the US on the 9th of January.
The firm is also set to revamp the Mini notebook range with new skins including iceberry and raspberry themed plaid crosshatch-style designs. The new models will cost around $330 and $350 when they appear in January.
HP’s high-end Envy range will also see some enhancements. The 17-inch Envy 17 will gain the Beats audio package as standard and the latest generation of AMD Radeon graphics will appear on the beefy gaming enthusiast notebook. Drives up to 2TB in capacity will also be an option.
