How to win a 2015 PCR Award: Distribution

If you want to be considered as a finalist in PCR Awards 2015's distribution category, we'll need to hear from you. Here's what you need to do.

Simply email Andrew Wooden awooden@nbmedia.com and tell us which award you’d like to be considered for, and a brief document on why you should be on the list. Feel free to include a list of achievements your company has made over the past 12 months, any sales increases, marketing info and more (see below for specific details for each award).

The final deadline for lobbying is December 22nd.

The Distribution Awards are designed to acknowledge the hard work put in by the unsung heroes of the channel – the distribution firms which are a vital link between vendors and retailers.

The 2015 PCR Awards will take place on Thursday March 12th 2015 at the Royal Garden Hotel. Here's the full list of 2015 PCR Award categories.

The awards in the Distribution category, along with some criteria the judges will be using, are listed below:

Software Distributor

Who’s eligible: Any distributor that specialises in or has a large non-games software offering.

Judges will consider the following criteria:

 Product knowledge

 Innovation

 Marketing activity

PC Gaming & Hardware Distributor

Who’s eligible: Any distributor that specialises in or has a large PC hardware and/or software game offering.

Judges will consider the following criteria:

Components Distributor

Who’s eligible: Any distributor that specialises in or has a large components offering.

Judges will consider the following criteria:

 Product knowledge

Peripherals Distributor

Who’s eligible: Any distributor that specialises in or has a large peripherals offering.

Judges will consider the following criteria:

Consumer Electronics Distributor

Who’s eligible: Any distributor that specialises in or has a large consumer electronics offering.

Who’s eligible: The communications arm of any IT distributor.

Judges will consider the following criteria:

 Visibility

Who’s eligible: Any distribution firm that has performed particularly well overall in the last 12 months.

Who’s eligible: Any distribution firm that has an exceptional level of customer service.
