Sony is working on a clip-on device that can transform glasses into wearable tech.

The company has announced its plans to develop the clip-on module, competing alongside the likes of Google and its Google Glass.

The module has a control board, Bluetooth capabilities and a projected OLED microdisplay with a resolution of 600x400.

Sony also claims that the projector will be able to display high-quality images in different types of lighting, including sunshine and darker rooms.

This news comes after Sony announced that its EyeGlass will go on sale in March next year.

The glasses feature a 3MP camera, face recognition, an extra touch sensor and a microphone.

The clip-on module will debut at the CES trade show in January 2015.
